Canada Research Grant Council Information

The attached is an open letter CAUT sent to Prime Minister Stephen Harper yesterday. The letter urges the government to increase funding for Canada’s research granting councils by matching, proportionally, what the Obama administration is investing in the American funding agencies. The letter also calls on the government to let scientists, not politicians decide where research funding is best spent.

CAUT will be raising these issues with the government during a meeting CAUT has secured with Gary Goodyear, Minister of State for Science and Technology, on February 26.
