Come for a Friday Afternoon Skate with UWFA!

We invite all UWFA Members, students and friends to skate with us, on February 8, from the Legislative Building to the Forks, where we’ll have hot chocolate. This event will give us a chance to connect, catch up, and just have fun!  The architectural warming huts are also a must experience!
 
There will be numerous places where you can meet up with us.
2:45 - Leaving the University of Winnipeg, congregating at the bottom of the escalators
3:20 - Having donned our skates on the River Trail at the Legislature, we will skate towards the Forks
4:00 - We’ll gather at the Forks under the walking bridge for hot chocolate 
 
If you don’t have skates and cannot borrow any, you can rent a pair at the Forks and meet up with us there!

New UWFA Logo

The UWFA Communications Committee is pleased to present UWFA’s new logo, which was designed by Josh Dudych, senior graphic designer at True North Sports and Entertainment. The logo, which features a crow homonym, draws upon the distinctive collective history of our institution, specifically the Harry Crowe Affair.

President's Letter

Happy New Year! I hope that this newsletter finds you well and feeling re-energized for the new term. Personally, I valued the time to reconnect with family and friends over the holidays. I also am thankful that this time of year affords me the freedom to reflect on important things that get lost in the shuffle at busier times. I hope that you all found some quiet time for reflection about the upcoming year and were not overwhelmed by the holiday mania.
