Notice of Annual General Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the University of Winnipeg Faculty Association shall take place:

April 15, 2011 at 12:30 in 2M70

Items to be discussed include but are not limited to: reports of officers and committees, the 2011-2012 budget, revisions to the Constitution and Bylaws, and election of members of the Executive Council. More information will be posted on the Association’s website and emailed out to members in the coming weeks.

All Members are invited and encouraged to attend. A reception will follow immediately after the meeting. Refreshments will be provided. 

Bowling for Academic Freedom

The UWFA Membership Committee invites all UWFA members to join us for an evening of bowling, fun, great company, and pizza.  We are entering crunch time for the term, so we are sure that everyone could use an evening out.  Come, bring your family, and join us at Academy Lanes on Wednesday, November 17, 2010.  We have reserved lanes and paid for your shoe rentals, pizza and pop. Alcoholic beverages are also available for purchase on site.

Lanes will be prioritized for family use between 6 and 7:30 and for adults between 7:30 and 9.

All proceeds will be donated to the University of Winnipeg Foundation.

We Heart Faculty Social

All UWFA faculty, librarians, contract faculty and collegiate members are invited to the King’s Head Pub for an informal evening of socializing - Friday, March 12th between  4 and 7 pm. We have reserved a room, ordered snacks, and will be holding raffles and 50/50 draws.  All monies raised will go directly to scholarships at our institution. Of course, the most fun will be the opportunity to visit with old friends and to meet some new ones! 

You do not need a ticket to attend—just show up!!!  Bring a colleague.
